Remedial Works to Aberdeen Grammar School Swimming Pool

The works comprised the removal of the existing pool walkway and diving platform, concrete repairs to the substructure and existing pool tank walls. Removal and subsequent reinstatement of all mechanical/electrical plant within the undercroft. The perimeter walkways were rebuilt using precast concrete bison floor slabs supported by new precast contractor designed beams. Stripping off all ceramic tiles, re-rendering pool walls and patchy repairing existing screeds. Re-tiling all areas. Removal & replacement of the pool internal walling using waterproof laminate boarding. The construction of a new plant room to house new air handling units.

The work was successfully completed within the very tight contract period of 16 weeks and we had to adopt fast tract methods of construction utilising quick drying screeds, special tiling adhesives and grouting products.
