Porthill & Seamount Courts, Aberdeen

In the beginning of 2009 Skyform began structural remedial works to these two buildings in the city centre of Aberdeen. Despite many challenging problems with regard to the heavy node transportation Skyform managed to overcome them and various additional works were added to the ground floor soffits and lift motor rooms.

Scope of Works:

• External concrete and crack repairs
• Installing steel structural supports
• Installing balcony parapet supports
• Applying over 8000m2 external anti-carbonation paint system
• Applying non-slip balcony walkway system
• Replacement of render to soffit and lift motor rooms

Access for the works was carried out by using the Skytrack system utilising it’s innovative track and suspended cradle method. This enabled costs to be kept to a minimum and provided an efficient and safe system of work.
